Gold Rush
The 'Gold Rush' project was a complete renovation of a 1870's Goldmine Manager's villa in Thames, Coromandel. Along with contending with an interior rebuild, extension and adding an in-keeping double-car garage the exterior was overhauled. Stone walls, brick walls, fencing, a water feature, mature trees, concrete paths and soft planting were all established to breathe new life into this old beauty as well as creating user-friendly and charming spaces for a young family full of energy.
Although testing at times (as historic buildings are) this was a special project for Rod and the team to be involved in, turning an old house into a much loved modern family home.
